Privacy Notice

Matai Consulting runs a small, privacy-respecting business website. We use analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. How analytics start depends on where you are: for visitors in the EU, UK, and EEA, nothing runs until you click Accept; for visitors elsewhere (such as the United States), analytics run by default and you can turn them off any time with Decline. Either way, you're always in control. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t run advertising.

When analytics are active, our tools collect standard, largely anonymized usage data: pages viewed, time on page, clicks and scrolls, approximate location (country/region, from your IP — which is not stored by us), device and browser type, and the referring site. Two tools also build aggregated heatmaps and record anonymized session playbacks to show how pages are used. If you submit a contact or subscribe form, we receive the details you enter (such as your name, email, company, and message).

When analytics are active, our providers set cookies and use your browser’s local storage to recognize returning visits and measure engagement. Declining on the banner prevents or stops this, and your choice is remembered on your device. You can clear it any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

We rely on a few trusted providers, each with their own privacy practices: PostHog (product analytics), Cloudflare (routes analytics requests to PostHog on our behalf), Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps & session replay), Vercel (hosting), Supabase (content storage), Formspree (form delivery), and Clerk (admin sign-in only). We don’t share your information with anyone else.

You can decline analytics at any time using the banner, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Most browsers also let you block cookies or send a “Do Not Track” signal. If you’ve contacted us and want your details removed, just email us and we’ll take care of it.
